Hammocks are on their way!!!
about 7 years ago – Fri, Nov 03, 2017 at 04:31:08 PM

Hey Backers!

I am so happy to announce that your hammocks and lounge chairs are starting to ship today! They will be shipping from our warehouse in Brooklyn. The packaging of all the products will start today and they should be to all of you by mid to end of the next week depending on your location.

I thank you so much for your patience and support through all of this. I've certainly hit quite a few bumps in the road between battles with customs and dealing with an international supply chain but after seeing the products in the warehouse yesterday it was all worth it.

We will also be launching our new website this weekend that I would love all of you to check out. I think it does a great job telling the WholeStory behind our hammocks. I will post another update when we are officially live.

When your products officially leave the warehouse I will update you with your tracking number so you know when to expect it. Attached below are also some pictures of the products I took yesterday in the warehouse.

As always, I can not thank you all enough for the overwhelming passion and support you've shown in this amazing journey. I hope you all find some time to kick back and relax, you've made the world a better place.

Gratefully,

Colin

Shipping Update #3
about 7 years ago – Fri, Oct 27, 2017 at 02:24:20 PM

Happy Friday Backers!

Good News- The hammocks are in the U.S.

Bad News- The hammocks are currently being held in customs.

The hammocks are just a few miles away from our warehouse, the problem is customs is holding and examining the hammocks. We have been told customs could either pass the products through in the next 5 minutes or the next 5 days. Unfortunately, we have no control over this situation and we are at the mercy of customs.

Customs is telling me very little at this point but I am still very hopefully the products will ship out next week. Once the products get through customs they should be packaged and shipped to you within 48 hours.

Thanks so much for the patience, your hammocks will be coming to you soon!

Have a great weekend.

Colin

Shipping Update #2
about 7 years ago – Mon, Oct 09, 2017 at 06:34:30 PM

Hey Backers!

I hope all is well with all of you. I wanted to update you on when your hammocks and chairs are arriving to your homes. The products will be arriving into the U.S. in two weeks and arriving into NYC in 3 weeks. Once the products arrive in NYC it will be sent out to you within that week. This means that your products should be shipped to you the last week of October.

We ran into a slight delay with the shipment because a tropical storm passed through Nicaragua and delayed the shipment a week. With that being said, production went relatively smoothly and our artisans have been busy the last couple of months. I can't thank all of you enough for continuing to support WholeStory and making this dream possible.

I will send out an email in a few weeks when the products arrive in NYC and are ready to be sent to you. Reach out with any questions. Talk soon!

Gratefully,
Colin

Shipping Update
over 7 years ago – Sat, Sep 02, 2017 at 11:59:40 AM

Hey Backers,

Happy Labor Day Weekend, I hope all of your summers have been full of fun and relaxation. I wanted to give you an update on production and the shipping timeline.

We have had material stuck in Nicaraguan customs for the past few weeks, Unfortunately, due to this issue it has delayed us from finishing production. I am currently resolving this issue but because of this problem it has delayed you from getting your hammocks and chairs a few weeks.

We will now be shipping products from Nicaragua on September 22. From there it will travel to our warehouse in New York and then ship directly to you. I am very sorry for this delay and would love if you could be kicking back and relaxing in your hammocks this weekend.

I wish there was more I could do to speed up our shipping date but Nicaraguan customs is very tough to deal with and are very slow in getting materials through inspection. I will do everything possible to make sure you are relaxing as soon as possible. Besides our customs issue production has gone smoothly and I've attached a few pictures of finished products.

Please reach out with any questions you have about your hammocks. Once again I am sorry for this delay and thank you for your understanding.

Enjoy friends, family and sunshine this weekend and take some time to relax, you deserve it!

Gratefully,
Colin

We're back from Nicaragua and things are going great!

Hey Backers!

I wanted to give you a quick update on your orders and give you a look at what is happening at WholeStory. In July I was down in Nicaragua working with our artisans on production. We've had a couple of bumps in the road along the way which is always expected but production is still on schedule and your products should be delivered to you amazing backers in September.

Attached below is two of our lead artisans working on the perfect hang for our hanging hammock chair. I could not be more excited at how our new designs are turning out and I know you will love them too. I hope you are having an amazing summer and I will update you in a few weeks when your products are officially leaving Nicaragua.

Gratefully,
Colin
